When scheduling a lesson be aware that you are required to be at the barn at your appointed time. You will have 30 minutes to catch your horse and have him/her groomed, saddled and ready for the lesson. You will be taught how to safely and properly get the horse ready during your first few lessons. After your third lesson anyone over the age of 10 is responsible for their own horse. Please make sure to allow yourself a total of at least an hour and a half to two hours at the barn when scheduling a lesson so that you are not rushed and the horses are properly taken care of. Anyone arriving late or taking too long to ready the horse will have time taken out of their riding time so the next person's lesson is not late.

Attire

Students must wear long pants and close-toed shoes. Boots are strongly recommended. Helmets are provided and are required for all students under the age of 16. This is Florida Law. Helmets are strongly recommended for all adults. Sunscreen and bug spray are recommended as well!

Age and Weight Restrictions

Age depends on health and dexterity. The child needs to be able to follow instructions and control the horse.  It is prefered that children be 10 years of age or older. Adults need to be able to safely ride the horse and follow directions without casuing themselves or the horse any health risks. Please disclose any history or medical illness that could increase your risk while riding. All riding is done at your own risk.
The weight limit for riding is 200lbs. A horse shouldn't carry more than 25% of their body weight. The average horse weighs about 1000lbs. So an individual who weighs 200lbs plus the weight of the saddle will meet or exceed that percentage.

Booking and Cancellation Policies

Lessons can be scheduled for any times listed above in the section 'lesson times' . Times may vary depending on weather time of year and availability. Every student must have a Equistarre Liability Release Form and the Equistarre Information and Policies Form completed and signed (must be signed by a legal guardian if a minor) before they can get on a horse. It is their responsibility to make sure they have this form. This form may be obtained by clicking the links above.
All lessons must be paid for in advance to book or save a time. Payment may be cash or check (made out to Analese Peters) and can be delivered or mailed (the check must clear a week before the lesson) or you can pay through the venmo app (you can download this to your smart phone at no cost). There will be a $40.00 return check fee for any returned checks.
Any cancellation 48 hours before a lesson will allow rescheduling without penalty. Lessons cancelled 24 hours before will result in the lost of the cost of the lesson. If you are 30 minutes or more late to your lesson it will be cancelled and you will still owe the cost of the lesson. Lessons cancelled/missed or NO CALL/NO SHOW the day of the lesson will result in the loss of the cost of the lesson. Any alteration or lesson rescheduling must be done in writing via email or text so that there is documentation to protect both parties! All paid lessons must be redeemed within a 30 day period unless otherwise scheduled and discussed. Any lesson cancelled or rescheduled  48 hours or more before the scheduled lesson must be redeemed within 10 days of the cancellation, or before your next scheduled lesson (whichever is sooner). You may only reschedule your lesson one time or you will lose the lesson at your expense. There are NO REFUNDS.
Lessons can either be booked in person, via text, or by email. If Analese does not personally confirm your lesson with you in person and give you a receipt, or send you a confirmation email or text with your exact date and time, your lesson is NOT on the books.
